Lars Tunbjörk ha attraversato la Svezia con l'intenzione di catturare l'atmosfera dei mesi invernali per le persone che vivono in Scandinavia. Il progetto è nato inizialmente come un modo per affrontare e superare il periodo più buio dell'anno. Questa serie fotografica presenta un'atmosfera, una gamma cromatica e un temperamento diversi rispetto ai suoi lavori precedenti, ma il suo stile, il suo umorismo discreto e i soggetti spesso surreali rimangono immediatamente riconoscibili.
Lars Tunbjörk traveled across Sweden with the intention of capturing the atmosphere of the winter months for people living in Scandinavia. The project initially began as a way of confronting and overcoming the darkest period of the year. This photographic series presents a different atmosphere, color palette, and temperament compared to his earlier work, yet his distinctive style, understated humor, and often surreal subjects remain immediately recognizable.

Lars Tunbjörk (Borås, Svezia, 1956–2015) è stato uno dei più importanti fotografi documentaristi svedesi. Attraverso un linguaggio visivo ironico e poetico ha raccontato la società contemporanea, osservando con particolare attenzione il mondo degli uffici, la vita quotidiana e i paesaggi suburbani. Le sue immagini, caratterizzate da colori intensi e composizioni sospese tra realtà e assurdo, trasformano scene ordinarie in riflessioni sulla cultura del consumo, sul lavoro e sui cambiamenti sociali. Autore di importanti progetti come Landet utom sig (Country Beside Itself), Office e Home, Tunbjörk ha saputo unire uno sguardo documentario a una profonda sensibilità artistica, diventando una figura di riferimento della fotografia contemporanea internazionale.
Lars Tunbjörk (Borås, Sweden, 1956–2015) was one of Sweden's most important documentary photographers. Through an ironic and poetic visual language, he portrayed contemporary society, paying particular attention to the world of offices, everyday life, and suburban landscapes. Characterized by intense colors and compositions suspended between reality and absurdity, his images transform ordinary scenes into reflections on consumer culture, work, and social change. The author of important projects such as Landet utom sig (Country Beside Itself), Office, and Home, Tunbjörk combined a documentary approach with a profound artistic sensitivity, becoming a key figure in contemporary international photography.
